Leasing of Community Land for Telecommunications Facilities
Project goals
Aligned with Council’s Telecommunications Policy, the objectives of this Project are to:
- improve telecommunication networks in the Local Government Area (LGA) to provide the community access to modern telecommunications, both voice and broadband
- leverage the land holding of the Sites to create ongoing income streams to be re-invested in the community
- keep to the minimum the number of telecommunication towers needed to service the community
