Tender Description
The Office of Sport is open to proposals for facility use at its Sport and Recreation Centres.
Project goals
The Office of Sport (the Office) has a portfolio of Sport and Recreation Centres located across NSW. The Office is seeking to:
1.Increase visitation, utilisation and access to its Sport and Recreation Centre spaces and facilities during low demand seasons or off-peak periods.
2. Improve the sustainability of the Office's assets by supporting revenue generation.
3. Partner with organisations and users delivering services aligned with the Office’s four focus areas in its Strategic Plan:
- Sector Growth
- Facilities and Spaces
- For all People
- Partnership and Investment

Scope
Target organisations
The Office is seeking responses from a diverse range of organisations and market segments, including but not limited to:
- Traditional education organisations (schools, TAFEs and Universities)
- Local, state and federal government authorities
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Private enterprises
- Social assistance organisations and disability service providers
Centre Locations:
Four Sport and Recreation Centres are the focus of this scope:
- Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre
- Broken Bay Sport and Recreation Centre
- Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre
- Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre
In addition, proposals may also be submitted for the following six centres:
- Berry Sport and Recreation Centre
- Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre
- Milson Island Sport and Recreation Centre
- Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre
- Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre
- Sydney Academy of Sport
Seasonal Periods
- Low demand months of June, July and August for the four focus centres
- School holidays and weekends across all ten centres

Online RFP Briefing (MS Teams)
An RFP briefing will be held online on the dates and times below. This is an opportunity for Respondents to ask questions about the RFP process. Attendance is not mandatory.
No more than two persons from each respondent organisation is permitted to attend the briefing. Names of persons attending must be emailed to the Contact Officer (tenders@sport.nsw.gov.au) at least one working day prior. A link will be provided to all registered Respondents prior to the briefing.

Briefing 2 - Monday, 23 February 2026 at 6:30pm

Site Visits
No site visits are scheduled for this RFP. Respondents may organise an approved visit to facilities during standard operating hours by contacting the Contact Officer (tenders@sport.nsw.gov.au). Acceptance of site visits are dependent on the ongoing activities and programs and are at the discretion of each Centre.
