Expressions of Interest are open for Fellows to join the Divisional Written Examination Standard Setting Calibration Pool.
We're seeking to expand our Standard Setting Calibration Fellow Pool for the Adult Medicine (AM) and Paediatrics & Child Health (PCH) Divisional Written Examination (DWE).
This pool is called upon throughout the year to play a crucial role in the development and review of the main and reserve AM & PCH DWE. The examinations are comprised of 2 papers (170) questions that assess trainees’ understanding of basic sciences and clinical knowledge.
Standard Setting sessions may need to be held to determine the cut score of an AM or PCH DWE. These sessions use the Angoffing methodologies to ensure the minimal competences of a trainee is represented.
These sessions are held up to 2-3 times per year (March, August, and November). Each requires a 7–14-day turnaround (one online session of 30 minutes for training, approximately 2-4 hours independent work, and one 2.5 – 3-hour calibration session to review scoring.)
