Diamond Valley Library Outdoor Space Rejuvenation

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking responses to this Tender Specification for the construction of the Diamond Valley Library Outdoor Space Rejuvenation at the Diamond Valley Library, Civic Drive, Greensborough.

Works will involve the construction of the outdoor space at the Diamond Valley Library, as per the accompanying technical specification, construction plans, and associated schedules. The works are to be priced in accordance with the schedule of works. That is the rear outdoor area (main works), the front accessibility works for the main path, accessible car parking, and the gathering area, paths, and landscaping. The tenderer is required to provide pricing as per the schedule of work.

Works include, but are not limited to site safety fencing, site establishment, underground service detection, demolition, tree protection, earthworks, landscaping concrete work, drainage, supporting amenities (seating, drinking fountain, bins, etc.) supply and installation of feature items, fencing, footpath and DDA ramp, signage, soil disposal, reinstatement, and handover.

Additionally the successful contractor must:

• Provision of and adherence to, all Health and Safety requirements and documentation, insurance, and works programs.

• Provision of Site Environmental Management Plan for approval and a dilapidation report of the sites for agreement prior to works commencing.

• Initial site set out utilising a suitably skilled and experienced surveyor - with the superintendent to oversee and approve.

• Demolition of unwanted existing facilities inclusive of disposal off-site of unwanted materials and vegetation to approved landfill.

• Complete site excavations and disposal of unsuitable or excess spoil from the site if required.

• Construction the outdoor space as attached design and specification.

The Council is seeking to appoint a single provider to deliver the Works and Services.

It is intended that the new contract arrangement will commence on or around 25 October 2023 with an intended practical completion date of 28 June 2024.
