Lillydale Lake Splash Pad Plant Room Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠ The Yarra Ranges Shire Council, ABN 21 973 226 012 (‘the Principal’) invites tenders from suitably experienced parties for the Lillydale Lake Splash Pad – Plant Room Upgrade (‘the Works’).

Tenderers are advised that construction is to be programmed having regard to the splash park summer operating period, which commences on 18 September 2026 and is scheduled to conclude following the Anzac Day weekend on 25 April 2027. Council’s preference is for any disruption during this operating period to be minimised and appropriately managed.

Tenderers are required to consider lead times associated with the procurement of materials and equipment, as well as the time required to obtain all necessary building permits and approvals.

Tenderers are required to submit a proposed program outlining procurement timelines and delivery timeframes, including allowances for obtaining all necessary building permits and approvals. The program must demonstrate consideration of the following project constraints and milestones:

• Tender award anticipated on 10 August 2026;

• No works are to be undertaken during nominated school holiday periods;

• The splash park operating season from September to April, with disruption during this period to be minimised where practicable; and

• Achievement of Practical Completion no later than 30 June 2027.

Council’s preference is for the project to achieve Practical Completion prior to the December school holiday period. However, Council will also consider proposals that outline a methodology for construction commencement following the seasonal closure of the splash park after 25 April 2027.

Please refer to Principal amendments to AS 4000-2025 Clause 47 (in this tender document) – the Principal authorises the Contractor to, and the Contractor must, manage or control the Workplace to the extent necessary to discharge the duties imposed on a principal contractor under the OH&S Regs etc.
