Tender Description
KC White Reserve is home to the Newport Baseball Club training and game ground. Irrigation upgrades onsite are required to ensure the sports fields can be maintained to required standards for baseball and so they can sustain the high levels of participation all year round onsite.
The existing system has reached end of life and does not have the capacity to irrigate the whole precinct effectively.
The proposed system will:
- - be fully automated
- - provide the most time efficient and effective method of irrigation
- - ensure grass health is maintained across all fields at the reserve
- - enable parks staff to be more effective with their time in managing all fields across the municipality.
This project will be priced with two major tender options – i) complete project with irrigation to both fields and ii) complete Stage 1 and Stage 2 separately. Tenderers are required to price for both these scenarios. Responses will be assessed against the criteria listed in section 3.5 below.
Tenderers can be awarded one or both fields. In the event Stage 2 is to be undertaken later (potentially immediate start of FY23/24 or March 2024) Council reserves to right to re-tender for that portion. Tenderers are encouraged to price competitively with appropriate project timelines.
