Tender Description

This is an exciting entry-level design role with the National Skills Commission (NSC). The NSC provides expert advice and national leadership on Australia’s labour market and current, emerging and future workforce skills needs, and Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.

You will be joining the Digital team who are responsible for building front-end visualisations, interactive apps and other digital products across the Commission. We work with researchers, economists, data scientists, and policy analysts to translate data insights into new digital products that help inform technical experts and the general community about labour market and skills data.

The Digital Team is known for its supportive, friendly and creative culture. We’re a diverse team from a range of different backgrounds and each member is encouraged to contribute their unique skills to the team’s efforts.

You’ll be working under the supervision of the Digital team’s Interaction Designer and be part of a team developing new digital products that delight our users. You’ll ideally be someone with strong eye for detail, the ability to learn quickly and think on your feet and be happy to experiment to trial new ideas and ways.

You’ll be joining a small, fast-moving and highly collaborative group of people who have fun working together in a supportive and inclusive culture. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute your ideas to the design process and be strongly committed to helping your colleagues succeed alongside you to deliver impact.

For this role of junior UI designer, you will be required to:
