Tender Description
The Phillip Island Nature Parks (the Nature Parks) is a not-for-profit organisation created by the State Government of Victoria in 1996. Located in Western Port, 120 km south-east of Melbourne, it comprises 1,925ha of Crown Land set aside under the Crown Lands Reserve Act 1978 "for the conservation of areas of natural interest or beauty or of scientific, historic or archaeological interest".
In 2012, the Nature Parks developed the Summerland Peninsula Infrastructure and Procurement Master Plan which provided recommendations to reinvigorate the Summerland Peninsula. A number of the projects from the Master Plan have now been delivered, including the $58 million Penguin Parade Visitor Centre. In addition, other projects have been further developed and reached master plan or concept plan stage, notably the Penguin Parade Boardwalks Concept Development Report 2019 (Concept Plans).
The Nature Parks is currently progressing the Penguin Parade Boardwalks and Viewing Stands Redevelopment through further planning and project development. As part of this process the Nature Parks is looking to develop detailed designs to best position the project for delivery.
Therefore, the Nature Parks is looking to appoint design consulting services with recognised and proven skills to develop detailed design for the Penguin Parade Boardwalks and Viewing Stands Redevelopment.
Tenders must be submitted by 12pm Wednesday 16th February 2022, and the works are to be completed by June 2022.
