The opportunity
The Building and Plumbing Commission (“BPC”) regulates building and plumbing practitioners to ensure the achievement of efficient and competitive building and plumbing industries in Victoria.
BPC is seeking to establish an Audit and Inspection Services Panel (the “Panel") of suppliers that:
- Enables responsive access to, and engagement of…
- Suitably qualified engineering, project management, specialist trades and technical consultants to…
- Support the BPC’s vision of delivering a comprehensive, National Construction Code (NCC) aligned audit and inspection framework,
- for domestic building projects across the Design, Construction and Occupancy phases .
While the BPC will commission targeted audits and inspections focused on high-risk elements (e.g. weatherproofing, fire safety, structural systems), suppliers must possess the capability to audit and inspect all design and building elements against the NCC and Australian Standards, where applicable.
The Panel is intended to focus on low, medium and high-rise residential apartment and other complex buildings, but the BPC also invites suppliers capable of supporting audits and inspections of detached and semi-detached low-rise housing.
