Tender Description
The Department is looking for business analysts to work in a complex and technically challenging data environment. The business analysts will work with experienced staff in a biosecurity risk modelling team to update data models based on a detailed analysis of operational processes and solution requirements. The goal of all our work is to derive meaningful insights that support decision-making to minimise adverse impacts of pests and diseases on Australia’s economy, environment and the community. The business analysts will provide services including:
a) obtaining in-depth knowledge of biosecurity operations and business data sources, including through engagement with subject matter experts
b) capturing data from operational analysis to meet specified biosecurity risk modelling requirements, in order to improve model accuracy
c) developing and documenting processes for updates of data sources used in biosecurity risk modelling
d) managing data source update projects using an Agile approach
e) producing a range of documentation including business requirements documentation, clear code documentation, work flows, and other requested documentation
f) following rigorous programming practices and team programming conventions
g) other related activities as required.
