Tender Description

UTS' 2027 Strategy outlines our vision to be "a leading public university of technology recognised for our global impact". Our purpose is to advance knowledge and learning through research-inspired teaching, research with impact and partnerships with industry, the professions and community. UTS is part of the Australian Technology Network of universities: a group of prominent universities committed to working with industry and government to deliver practical and professional courses.
The UTS digital eco-system plays a fundamental role in representing the university. Users include prospective and current students, prospective and current staff, industry, professionals and the community, government, media and the academic community (UTS and external). Its internal stakeholders include Marketing, Researchers and Research Centers, Teaching and Faculties, the Advancement and External Engagement teams.

The UTS Digital Strategy is a key enabler by ensuring the UTS Strategic Plan is successful by focusing on UTS' digital challenges.
The UTS Digital Strategy brings a need for streamlined platforms to support improved processes, and to enable Learner Acquisition, On-boarding and Management. Our operating environment will become more complex as we explore new lines of business, new student and learner profiles, and new product and service offerings.

The purpose of the EOI is to engage the market to understand the optimal modernisation of UTS' network infrastructure and associated management services for the next decade. UTS invites responses from suppliers that meet the following mandatory criteria to inform UTS of optimal approaches to network development and management:
1. Can offer network hardware, licensing and services relevant to the technological environment described in Section 5 of Part C of this EOI.
2. Currently have contracts with customers in the Australian Higher Education Sector providing network hardware, licensing and services.

This information is intended to assist UTS in further effective engagement to source network development and management services. This EOI provides information regarding UTS' network landscape over the last decade including current technologies, resourcing, investments, services arrangements and management approaches.

This EOI is the first stage of a two stage market engagement to create to arrive at UTS' future network development and management solution.
