Reporting to either the Chief Technology Officer, Project Manager EAP or Section Manager Business Intelligence – Cloud Development Solutions and as part of the Information Technology Business Intelligence Team, the specified personnel will be responsible for the following tasks/deliverables: Please note this is a technical data analyst role in a data warehouse environment.
a) Analyzing and documenting business requirements for development of ETL and report development task. This will also include technical specification such as source to target mapping, etc.
b) Advanced SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases.
c) Conduct routine testing and assessment of data in the Data Warehouse for data integrity purposes.
d) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
e) High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
f) Working under the Section Head and across the team to deliver technical business requirements within agreed timeframes.
g) Promoting workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management, and environmental management in the workplace in accordance with and act in accordance with the CASA values and behaviors.

Mandatory experience

a) Demonstrated experience in a data warehousing environment including data analysis and data profiling.
b) Demonstrated experience working closely with users to clarify business needs and produce high quality documents outlining business requirements for ETL and Power BI report development.
c) Advanced SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases
d) Experience implementing and supporting metadata management processes, tools and standards.
e) Proven experience in database, ETL and reports testing using SQL and data analysis skills.
f) Demonstrated high-level communication skills, including the ability to identify, manage and effectively liaise with all stakeholders including technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable experience
a) Experience in SQL scripting using tools such SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or SQL Developer.
b) Develop and test reports, dashboards and Business Intelligence solutions based on specifications.
c) Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, Informatica Power Center and Microsoft Power BI tools.
d) SQL Server and Oracle knowledge.
