Darebin City Council is seeking expressions of interest for the appointment of an external member for its Audit & Risk Committee.
The Audit & Risk Committee established to assist Council in fulfilling its responsibilities relating to external financial and performance reporting, risk and financial management, corporate governance, internal control systems and internal audit program.
The Audit Committee meets four times per year and comprises of five members - three external members and two Councilors. An allowance is payable to the external members following each meeting.
Council is seeking to appoint an external member to the Audit & Risk Committee for a two-year term commencing in February 2021.
Applicants are required to demonstrate their experience in the fields of finance, risk, audit, governance and / or legal practice through their application. It is preferable that you will have Local government experience.
