Provision of Internal Auditing Services - Bayside Health

Bayside Health was formed through the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service, and Peninsula Health in January 2026. Bayside Health brings together the combined expertise of the five health services to deliver high-quality care at every stage of life.

With more than 15 major sites and a range of clinics, we provide care that welcomes newborns, supports older people, and cares for the important stages in between.

Our team of more than 22,000 dedicated staff deliver exceptional, equitable, and locally connected care through shared expertise, genuine compassion, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The boards of each health service held a shared vision to improve health outcomes for our communities, increase access to care, and create a more connected healthcare experience for everyone we serve. They choose independently to merge to make this a reality for people living in the State’s south.

To ensure that local needs were met and voices heard, the new health service established three separate care groups:

• Alfred Care Group
• Peninsula Care Group, and
• Regional Care Group.

Bayside Health is seeking responses to this Invitation for the provision of Services as outlined.

Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance and consulting advice designed to add value and improve Health Services operations. It is an important part of the internal control framework and helps an agency accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes.

The current agreements in place across all three Bayside Health (BH) Care Groups are due to expire concurrently, providing opportunity to approach the market for a single internal audit services provider for Bayside Health.
