Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Knox City Council is committed to good governance, public transparency and accountability to the Knox community. Council’s Audit and Risk Committee is established to strengthen its governance, risk management, financial management and to drive continuous improvement.

Knox City Council is seeking to appoint one independent member to its Audit and Risk Committee, for the period September 2020 to September 2023.

The Audit and Risk Committee comprises three independent members and two Knox Councillors, meeting up to six times per year. Remuneration for independent members is $7,549.66 per annum.

Evaluation Criteria
• Relevant tertiary qualification.

• Senior experience in one or more of these fields - auditing, financial management, risk management, governance, information technology, human resources or executive management.

• Demonstrated experience providing professional advice on governance and internal control environments, financial and performance reporting, internal audits, external audits, risk management, ethics, fraud, corruption and corporate governance.

• Previous Audit and/or Risk Committee experience or and an understanding of Local Government, including financial and performance reporting requirements.
