The purpose of this Contract is for Council to engage the services of a suitably qualified Contractor for the construction of new pavilion at Arthur Beachley reserve. Currently the change rooms at Arthur Beachley reserve is in dilapidated status and is not fit for current purpose. Therefore in this year’s capital works budget there has been an allocation to build a new pavilion and subsequently demolish the old change rooms.

During construction of the new pavilion the old change rooms and the portables at site and the ground would continued to be used by the sporting clubs and the contractor is to make a note of same. An increased level of service will be provided as a result of this project as it will enable to increase use.

This falls in line with the Councils strategic plan to deliver infrastructure needed to strengthen local communities which includes facilities for sports and leisure and the Brimbank Sports Facility Development Plan to guide the management and development of sport and recreation facilities in Brimbank.

Practical Completion no later than the 1st May 2018 on the basis of possession of site being granted by 1st December 2017.

Mandatory Pre-Tender Site Inspection
A tender briefing and on-site inspection will be conducted on Tuesday 26 September 2017 commencing at 11am and concluding at 12pm outside the Arthur Beachley Reserve change room at 13~49 Ardoyne Street, Sunshine.
