Tender Description
Gippsland Ports is seeking EOI's from suitably experienced organisations to perform the role of internal auditor reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee. The successful appointee should utilize a risk-based systematic approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes by assessing the:
* management of operational and business risks;
* soundness, adequacy and application of the internal control systems;
* compliance with laws, regulations, contracts and established policies, procedures and good practice;
* reliability and integrity of financial and operational information; and
* safeguarding of assets from fraud, irregularity or corruption.
It is expected that applicants will have a good understanding of the public sector and an excellent knowledge of internal audit methodologies and best practice tools and techniques to identify financial, operational and statutory risks, and to assist the committee develop short and longer term internal audit strategies.
The term of the appointment will be for three years commencing February 2016. Respondents are required to complete the “Internal Audit 2015 Expression of Interest” proforma, and submit together with your detailed submission to reach the tender box by 4.30pm Friday 30 October 2015.
