Request For Information Curriculum Management System

⁠⁠⁠The University of Wollongong (UOW) is using this RFI as an exploratory request to identify capabilities; obtain expressions of interest; determine the availability of a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution; conduct market research into solutions; assess the potential of customising a system used by other tertiary organisation; and analyse contractor capabilities.

The object of this RFI is to conduct an industry scan of available solutions for a Curriculum Management System to be utilised by UOW for gaining efficiencies in course and subject development and review, tracking course lifecycle development, evidencing Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) through online marking and repository functionality and other regulatory compliance requirements, and providing robust reporting capabilities to enable continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Work on a Curriculum Management System commenced in 2014 and a significant amount of work has been performed on gathering detailed requirements and process mapping, of course management processes and AQF mapping requirements.

The high-level requirements of the Curriculum Management System are as follows:
* Workflow management, including management of proposals for new, amended or discontinued courses, majors/specialisations, minors and subjects
* Mapping tool (AQF and Assurance of Learning), to allow mapping between Course or Major Learning Outcomes (CLOs/MLOs), Assessments and Subjects and evidencing how student achievement is assured
* Data repository
* Management of course structures and independencies
* Management of course and subject instances
* Generation of publication of content to web
* Interfacing capability
* Development and utilisation of Assessment Rubrics for online marking and feedback
* Reporting functionality

Although our preference is for one system to manage all of the above functionalities, we do welcome submissions which address these in part.
