KRWWTP Wetlands – Bulk Earthworks (Winter Storage/ Constructed Wetlands) including interconnecting pipework

⁠⁠⁠Westernport Water intends to release an open Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the delivery of the King Road Recycled Water Wetland and Storage Project, located at the King Road Wastewater Treatment Plant in Corinella, Victoria. This project is partially funded by the Australian Government under the National Water Grid’s Water Infrastructure for Sustainable and Efficient Regions (WISER) program.

Project Scope

• Bulk earthworks associated with the construction of a 150 ML effluent storage lagoon and approximately 2.24 ha wetland, utilising part of the existing maturation lagoon to polish treated effluent; and
• Interconnecting pipework

Contract Model

This procurement will be undertaken as a construct-only contract. Westernport Water will provide completed design and technical documentation as part of the tender package. The successful contractor will be responsible for construction in accordance with the issued design documentation.

Anticipated Procurement Timeframes

• Release of ITT documentation via Tenderlink in Late June 2026
• Practical Completion required by 30 June 2027.

 Victorian Government Policy Requirements

The following Victorian Government policies will apply to this procurement:

• Fair Jobs Code;
• Local Jobs First; and
• Victorian Tip Truck Driver and Owner Driver Policy.

Tenderers will be required to comply with the Fair Jobs Code, including holding a valid Fair Jobs Code Pre-Assessment Certificate at the time of tender submission.
