Tender Description
The RRC Early Works Werai Forest Regulators Project includes replacing three regulators at Tumudgery Creek, Niemur Collagen Creek, Reed Bed Creek, and installing a new regulator at Moonyah Lagoon.
Project goals
The Werai Forest Regulators project aims to:
- Reverse the trend of declining forest and river health and increasing the connectivity of wetlands.
- Meet Basin Plan environmental outcomes without reliance on further water recovery
- Recognise community and First Nations people’s knowledge and willingness to collaborate to shape the future management and health of local river systems, cultural landscapes and environments
- Collaborate with communities to identify and develop a pathway forward that supports benefits for all stakeholders
Scope
The scope of works for the Project involves:
- Replacing the 3 existing Tumudgery, Reed Bed Creek and Niemur Creek regulators in the Werai Forest with new regulators, and
- Construction of a new regulator at Moonyah Lagoon to replace the existing block bank structure, together with all necessary associated works such as access tracks, temporary works, removal of existing structures, civil works, and new structures.
- The 3 replacement regulators are to be constructed in the same footprint as the existing 3 regulators

A mandatory site visit will occur on Tuesday 14th October 2025.
- Location: Meet at 192 Macauley St, Deniliquin NSW, 2710
- Time: 8.00 am
An applicant may be represented at the briefing and site visit by a maximum of two people. Confirm attendance with the Contact Person by noon on the business day before the briefing and the site visit.
