Gannawarra Central Landfill - Cell 3 capping

Gannawarra Shire Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified contractors for the capping of Cell 3 at the Gannawarra Central Landfill.

This project involves critical environmental infrastructure works aimed at ensuring the long-term protection of the surrounding environment and maintaining the future safety and usability of the landfill site.

The scope of works includes, but is not limited to:

• Installation of landfill gas collection pipework,
• Bulk earthworks using on-site stockpiled material, and
• Associated vegetation and rehabilitation works.

Contractors will be assessed on:

• Relevant skills and experience,
• Capacity to deliver the specified works,
• Proposed delivery timelines,
• Fee structure, and
• Contribution to local benefit and environmental sustainability.

Works must be delivered in accordance with the technical specifications provided. The project will be subject to independent oversight, including an EPA-appointed Environmental Auditor and a Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA), both appointed by Council.

The successful contractor will be expected to liaise and cooperate closely with all appointed parties to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes.
