Tender Description

Council is seeking quotations from suitable contractors to deliver a minimum of three Drought Innovation and Resilience Showcase Field Days over multiple locations across the Castlereagh Country region, promoting agricultural resilience and knowledge sharing, enhancing community cohesion and supporting mental wellbeing.

The Drought Innovation and Resilience Showcase Field Days project aims to establish an annual event to showcase innovative solutions and strategies for drought resilience in the Gilgandra and Warrumbungle regions.

Drought Innovation and Resilience Showcase Field Days

The Drought Innovation and Resilience Showcase Field Days project aims to establish an annual event to showcase innovative solutions and strategies for drought resilience in the Gilgandra and Warrumbungle regions. The events will serve as a platform to promote collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building among stakeholders to address the impacts of drought on local communities, agriculture, and businesses. The benefits of the Field Days include; promote agricultural resilience and knowledge sharing, enhance community cohesion, and support mental wellbeing. Key benefits include; increased adoption of drought-resistant agricultural practices, strengthened community cohesion, enhanced agricultural productivity.

The primary objectives of the project include:

  • Evaluate current drought resilience initiatives and identify gaps and opportunities for innovation;
  • Showcase innovative technologies, practices, and initiatives that enhance drought resilience and adaptation;
  • Facilitate networking and collaboration among stakeholders to foster innovation and knowledge exchange; and
  • Promote community awareness and engagement in drought resilience efforts.

Scope

Delivery of a minimum of three Drought Innovation and Resilience Showcase Field Days over multiple locations across the Castlereagh Country region, promoting agricultural resilience and knowledge sharing, enhancing community cohesion, and supporting mental wellbeing.

Delivery includes:

  • Event planning and coordination – including topical events
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Stakeholder engagement, consultation and outreach
  • External communications approach
  • Project management
  • Program development
  • Content creation

Quotations must submitted to council@gilgandra.nsw.gov.au prior to the closing time. Late submissions will not be accepted. Please note that all documents must be fully submitted by this time so applicants should allow sufficient time to upload documents.
