Mansfield Shire Council is seeking to engage the services of an experienced and qualified contractor to deliver the 2024-2025 Kerb & Channel Program & Disabled Car Parks Upgrade.
The Council has an ongoing responsibility to maintain kerbs and channel in accordance with the Road Management Plan. As part of the 10-year capital works program, the 2024/25 kerb and channel initiative will address areas identified for remediation within the Shire, ensuring they meet the required standards. This annual program is completed ahead of the Reseal Preparation Program to guarantee that the surface and pavement are suitable for resealing where applicable. This approach ensures that all road components achieve their expected 10-year service life.
Additionally, the Council recently conducted community consultation regarding disabled parking facilities in the Mansfield township area. Following thorough investigations and further consultation, it has been decided to upgrade the existing disabled parking infrastructure and create additional spaces. This initiative aims to provide safe and convenient access to buildings throughout the Mansfield Shire for all community members.
