Modern Methods of Construction, Regional Victoria - Expressions of Interest

⁠⁠⁠To support the provision of public housing in Regional Victoria, Homes Victoria is seeking to identify and engage with residential builders (Contractors) who can deliver Modular Homes to some or all of the regional areas identified below. The modular homes will be one to three bedrooms, and there will frequently have multiple homes per site. The design criteria for these homes are outlined below in Part A.

The areas/LGAs in which homes need to be delivered are:

• Barwon – Colac Otway, Greater Geelong, Surf Coast

• Central Highlands – Ballarat, Hepburn, Moorabool, Pyrenees, West Wimmera

• Goulburn – Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Moira

• Inner Gippsland – Bass Coast, Baw Baw, Latrobe, South Gippsland

• Loddon – Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Greater Bendigo, Macedon Ranges, Mount Alexander

• Mallee – Mildura, Swan Hill

• Outer Gippsland – East Gippsland, Wellington

• Ovens Murray – Alpine, Indigo, Mansfield, Wangaratta

• Wimmera South West – Conrangamite, Glenelg, Moyne, Northern Grampians, South Grampians, Warrnambool, Yarriambiack

To establish the level of interest and capability for homes to be constructed in the above regional areas by modular builders Homes Victoria is undertaking a two-stage process. The first stage of which is this open EOI process which aims to identify which modular builders are interested in constructing homes in which regional areas. The EOI also seeks to identify the volume of housing each interested modular builder is capable of delivering, and their capability to do so within the timeframes and cost parameters which govern this project.

The second stage of the procurement process will be an invitation to tender to those modular housing providers who have expressed an interest via the EOI and have been evaluated as likely to be able to provide housing of required quality, within the required time range and cost parameters.
