Rural City of Wangaratta (RCOW) is seeking a suitably qualified consultant to develop a Master Plan for the Wangaratta Sports & Aquatic Centre (WSAC) to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of its members and the wider community into the future. The aim of the Master Plan is to investigate ways to activate the existing facility and identify opportunities for greater inclusion and accessibility. A 10-year implementation plan will provide Council with cohesive, well considered key projects to include in future budgets and assist in applying for grant funding.

WSAC is a Council run facility that features a 50m outdoor pool, 25m heated indoor pool, hydrotherapy pool and toddler's pool. The centre also consists of a 24/7 gym, café, six squash courts and stadium that allows for basketball, squash and racquetball, badminton and gymnastics. The facility is a regionally significant health and wellness centre which is well utilised by the community. It is regarded as a sporting and community hub for the town and surrounding region.
