Australia has built a strong relationship with the Minister, Secretary, and executive of MoE through consistent delivery of high-quality support to the sector and regular engagement. The design of the new Australia-Kiribati Literacy and Inclusive Education Program will build on some of the key reforms and achievements from KEIP but will place a solid emphasis on improvements to student learning outcomes for English literacy across all school years (Class 1 to Form 7). As a result of this requirement to engage across all school years, AusKLIP will need to build strong relationships with the Church community and its education decision-makers in Kiribati (as providers of the majority of secondary education throughout the country).
