The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) is seeking proposals for the provision of a implementation plan for a standardised national incident airspace management doctrine for use by emergency service agencies
Project goals
The project will deliver:
- A nationally agreed Airspace Management Doctrine for aerial firefighting operations
- Improved safety and coordination across multi-aircraft incidents
- Alignment with national doctrine initiatives including but not limited to the draft National Large Air Tanker Standing Operating Procedures
- Greater operational consistency for aviation crews operating across jurisdictions
