Tender Description
Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified consultants to review and report on the Shire of Nillumbik’s known biodiversity; and to prepare a draft Biodiversity Strategy.
The scope of works includes:
a. Regular engagement with Council officers and Councillors
b. Identify and report on available data on biodiversity (flora, fauna, ecosystems, habitat corridors, canopy coverage and heat island etc) and threats to biodiversity in Nillumbik; and associated indicators
c. Investigate wildlife protection options along roadsides and other settings
d. Consider options for a future Council native vegetation offset site and over-the-counter Offset Scheme.
e. Draft a new ten-year Nillumbik Biodiversity Strategy for consideration by Council.
The Council is seeking to appoint a single provider to deliver the services.
Tenderers are advised that the indicative budget is $120,000.
The intended commencement date is 17 April 2023 with a intended completion date of 30 November 2023
