Inkerman Safe Travel Corridor Project

⁠⁠⁠The City of Port Phillip invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit a Tender for the Inkerman Safe Travel Corridor Project.

Extent of Work

The works to be performed under the Contract include the supply of all materials, plant, labour and other resources necessary to complete the Works as described within this Specification and in the Drawings.

The extent of works under this Contract includes but is not limited to the following:

a. Preparation and submission of traffic/pedestrian management plans, site management plans, environmental management plans;

b. Traffic control including the provision of approved Traffic Management Plans to facilitate the construction of the works (including works in the tram corridor);

c. Site establishment and removal;

d. Setting out of the works

e. Provision for pedestrians and cyclist’s management during construction works;

f. Maintaining vehicle access to local businesses and residences at all times;

g. Management of on-street parking for local businesses and residences during construction of the works;

h. Management of pedestrian access for local businesses and residences during construction of the works;

i. Temporary erosion and sedimentation controls;

j. Service location of existing underground services

k. Earthworks (including clearing and grubbing, removal and stockpiling of topsoil and excavated material)

l. Removal and disposal of existing kerbs, subsurface drains, footpaths, stormwater infrastructure and other structures in the area where the new works are planned

m. Locating and protecting existing utility services, including all liaison with relevant utilities authorities;

n. Construction of pavements

o. Kerb and channel construction

p. Drainage works (both surface and subsurface);

q. Footpath construction

r. Pavement marking and raised pavement markers;

s. Existing pavement modifications / mill & re-sheet where needed

t. Traffic Signal Works including installations, phasing / operations of signals

u. Road furniture;

v. Signposting;

w. Vegetation and Landscaping works including exposed new works and areas disturbed by construction activities directly related to the project;

x. Opening to traffic;

y. Clean up and restoration of work areas and the areas disturbed by utility authorities in carrying out adjustments within the site;

z. All other work which you are or may be obliged by the terms of the Contract to undertake together with any work which

All Tender Submissions and are to be lodged electronically by the time and date noted under the Tender Details. Council reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any tender, or part thereof.

Tenders received after the closing time or by hardcopy, email or facsimile will not be considered.
