The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is responsible for the sustainable management of Victoria’s waterways. It develops and delivers policies, strategies and programs that balance the needs of the environment with communities and water use and management. This involves working to apply a holistic approach to waterway and catchment management with a wide range of partners and community stakeholders including Traditional Owners, Catchment Management Authorities, other jurisdictions and local governments, community and environmental stakeholders.
The Department is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) T2026-0255 for the provision of services to identify candidate priority regional Victorian subcatchment units where enhanced stormwater management will be important to manage the impacts of large-scale development on high ecological value waterways.
Key stages of the Service involve defining the investigation area to facilitate a focus on regional areas with higher forecast rates of urban development, establishing a hydrological modelling strategy and collating available datasets to support modelling, and analysing and reporting model outputs.
