Tender Description
Council is seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to rehabilitate the City of Dandenong Council’s bridge asset.
The Hammond Road Bridge (North-Bound) (Asset ID 29605) is a three-span, two-lane bridge that carries Hammond Road over Dandenong Creek (-37.993769, 145.209761) in Dandenong. The superstructure was originally comprised of timber decking and crossbeams supported by 6 rolled steel joists. However, upgrade works in 1962 replaced the original decking with the reinforced concrete deck that is still present today. The substructure is comprised of concrete columns and crossheads at its piers and concrete abutments at each end. The deck upgrade design drawings indicate the structure was designed for H20-S16-44 loading (MS18 metric equivalent). Please see the project brief for further information. This contract is for the rehabilitation & maintenance of the bridge following condition assessments.
