Tender Description
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) intends to release a Request for Tender in August/September 2022 to establish a new panel of Service Providers for the provision of Home Care (VHC) Services from 1 September 2023. The new panel will replace the current arrangements for VHC which will have reached the end of their contract on 30 November 2023. Successful tenderers will need to commence prior to the end of the current delivery period to support the transition to the new panel arrangements.
DVA will be inviting submissions from interested and suitable tenderers to deliver high quality and cost effective VHC Services to eligible DVA clients. The aim of the VHC Program is to provide a small amount of in home practical help so eligible clients can continue to live independently. It is not designed to meet complex or high-level care needs.
Services available through the VHC Program will include:
- domestic assistance
- personal care
- respite care
- home and garden maintenance (now includes lawn mowing) and
- social assistance under the Coordinated Veterans’ Care program.
