Tender Description
Warrnambool City Council is seeking quotations for a suitably qualified and experienced Heritage Advisor to prepare a Cultural Heritage Management Plan for coastal reserve managed by Council in the Warrnambool Wild Coast Precinct. The Heritage Advisor would work closely with staff from Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation.
The aim of the project is to prepare a Cultural Heritage Management Plan for the Wild Coast Precinct in the approved form under the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations 2018.
The Cultural Heritage Management Plan will inform implementation of the Wild Coast Landscape Master Plan including fencing and signage within the reserve.
For the purposes of this project the Wild Coast Precinct is the public land managed by Warrnambool City Council along the coast between the west Warrnambool City Council boundary and the Warrnambool Golf Course.
The plan must include:
o Background data and information (Desktop Cultural Heritage Assessment)
o Identification of key cultural heritage sensitive sites
o Protection measures for key cultural heritage sensitive sites
o Opportunities for incorporating Traditional Owner management methods
