1x Service designer

⁠⁠⁠The Engagement Team in the People Policy and Employment Conditions Branch is responsible for communicating ADF pay and conditions information to ADF members, their families and other stakeholders through the Beta website https://pay-conditions.defence.gov.au/ . The team is also preparing to start a discovery on how best to communicate pay and conditions information relating to overseas conditions of service to members and their families and, separately, to provide guidance to assist administrators and decision-makers with associated processes.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to also review, tests and make recommendations on the existing web-based information service Beta. You will also lead the team to plan and commence discovery to research and design upcoming services.

You will:

• Access existing user research and data to make evidence-based recommendations and design solutions
• Design and execute user research using tools and techniques such card sorting and usability testing to generate insights into the user experience
• Create personas and user journeys
• Design, prototype and test solutions to meet user needs.
