** Tender Withdrawn/Cancelled 03/02/2022**  YVW operates sewerage and recycled water treatment plants that involve a range of treatment processes, including screening, biological nutrient reduction reactor and clarification, tertiary filtration, ultraviolet disinfection, chemical dosing and sludge disposal.

YVW has recently conducted a machinery emergency stop(E-Stop) risk assessment and Australian Standards compliance review across its treatment plant facilities. This has identified non-conformances requiring rectifications including upgrades to existing and provision of new emergency stop (E-Stop) devices, and implementation of other controls.

YVW requires services of a contractor(s) to deliver the Sewerage Treatment Plant E-stop Rectification project, including provision of the emergency stop devices and associated electrical, control and SCADA works to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and mitigate operational risks to YVW.

The treatment plant facilities where the E-Stop upgrade works required are: 1. Brushy Creek 2. Craigieburn 3. Upper Yarra 4. Whittlesea 5. Aurora 6. Wallan 7. Kinglake

The tender will be released as a Design and Construct package. YVW has completed the investigations and preliminary design works including development of typical safety relay schematics , scope and specifications for detailed design which will be part of the tender documents.

Some of the key activities to be completed in the delivery of the works include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct detailed design for a robust and compliant emergency stop system, including any required site investigations and production of drawings and documentation

• Supply, installation, validation/testing and commissioning of the equipment including cutovers whilst ensuring that disruption to the plant operation is kept to a minimum

• Decommissioning of redundant emergency stop control circuits and components and updates to all associated documentation to capture the changes.
