Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Committee for Joint College Training (CJCT) in Haematology seeks expressions of interest from haematology trainees who reside in Australia to be the CJCT Advanced Trainee Representative.

The CJCT oversees Advanced Training in Joint Haematology and Clinical Haematology with key responsibilities to:

  • monitor and assess individual trainee progress
  • confirm completion of training requirements for progression to Fellowship
  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors
  • accredit advanced training settings or programs in Haematology
  • assess recognition of prior learning
  • monitor and review training program requirements, assessment and curricula in consultation with the relevant Specialty Society(ies) and other stakeholders, and recommend changes to the College Education Committee, via the Adult Medicine Division Education Committee
  • advise on assessment and resource content
  • advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians
  • provide advice on specialty specific CPD and other educational resources for members
  • modify training requirements for individual trainees in accordance with College policies and procedures
  • assess and provide advice on specialist recognition in Haematology for Fellows in the Paediatrics & Child Health Division or Adult Medicine Division who have not completed the Haematology Advanced Training program

Th CJCT holds 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney and 3 video conferences a year.

Members are appointed for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew a further term.
