The division provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses. CIO Group are seeking multiple experienced and motivated Business Analysts to assist across support a range of ICT projects within the CIO Group related to CRM, Cyber Security uplift, and the Digital Modernisation Program.
The CIO Group has adopted Lean Portfolio Management processes to prioritise and allocate work across teams. Portfolio Management may also afford you the opportunity to work across other priority work within the division.
Essential skills and experience
- Experience in delivering under an Agile methodology, or proven ability to quickly adapt to and successfully deliver outcomes in a new methodology
- Facilitate workshops, including those to identify business needs, monitor and collate data and identify competing demands
- Elicit and document the detailed IT business requirements including those that specify the changes to processes, systems, people and information
- Capture and analysis of data related requirements & produce deliverables in accordance with the project schedule
- Achieve agreement and the formal sign-off of requirements by stakeholders and governance groups as required
- Construct documentation to support the requirements definition, eg requirements specifications, process maps, service design artefacts, functional and non-functional requirements, change management implications, data and reporting considerations
- Conduct stakeholder engagement activities to develop the requirements and desired outcomes Desired skills and experience
Specific skills and or experience relevant to individual roles:
Role 1: Cyber Security Uplift
The Cyber Security Uplift Team is responsible for delivering the department’s Essential Eight Cyber Security Program (the Program), which is entering its second phase. The Program is the department’s response to the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight mitigation strategies that have been designed to help organisations mitigate cyber security incidents caused by various cyber threats. The scope of work extends across all of the department’s divisional networks, including Cloud. The team are seeking a Business Analyst with experience in cyber security projects to lift, or maintain, our various Essential Eight maturity levels by: conducting workshops with business stakeholders; working collaboratively with technical staff in defining solutions for Essential Eight strategies; developing technical and business artefacts; and conducting user acceptance testing prior to roll out.
Role 2: CRM team BA
Looking for someone with experience in or demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM (desirable).
Role 3: Digital Modernisation Program
The Digital Modernisation Program (DMP) is a program of work being established within the CIO Group with the aim to modernise the digital capabilities of the organisation and to provide a strong and adaptable foundation to deliver organisational outcomes.
The objectives of the Digital Modernisation Program are:
• Modernise the digital footprint of the organisation in alignment with the objectives of the Digital Strategy 2021
• Uplift the digital capabilities of the department by adapting applications for cloud migration, reducing a reliance on infrastructure hardware and decommission legacy items to reduce cost and duplication
Role 4:
Other divisional projects as required.
This process will also be used to fill BA roles for upcoming projects yet to be approved
