Tender Description
The Scope: Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to participate in a trial for the provision of products for the measurement and monitoring of grid system strength and/or inertia on Western Power's Transmission High Voltage (HV) networks.
The products should be capable of either providing or contribute towards the provision of, some or all of the following:
- Calculating overall system inertia AND regional inertia, where regional inertia refers to the inertia (contributed by both generation and loads) in distinct regions/sub-regions of the network. The calculated inertias are to be available in near to real-time (i.e. operating time-frames).
- Calculating system strength at multiple busbars within the network, including nodes where HV customers connect. The calculated system strength is to be available in operating time-frames.
- Registration Requirements: Suppliers are required to respond to the following for its Registration of Interest submission:
- Demonstrate track record and capability in delivering products/services that measure and/or monitor grid system strength and/or inertia in relation to the high-level scope requirements stated above (capability statement).
- If available, references from at least three customers whom you have offered similar services.
- Safety, health & environment information to be requested as part of this exercise.
