Tender Description
A vacancy exists for an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Colac Otway Shire Council.
The Audit and Risk Committee operates under a Council adopted Charter and is an Advisory Committee to Council. The primary objective of the Committee is to assist Council in the effective conduct of its responsibilities in financial reporting, internal control, risk management, business continuity, internal and external audit, organisation compliance and fraud and corruption.
Membership of the Committee currently includes two Councillors and two independent members. The initial term for independent members is three years.
Council welcomes Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified individuals with a professional financial, risk management, audit or local government management background.
