Redevelopment Works to North Sunshine Tennis Club, Courts 1 and 2

⁠⁠⁠Brimbank City Council is embarking upon the North Sunshine Tennis Club Courts 1 & 2 Redevelopment of the existing tennis courts located at 82 Phoenix Street, Sunshine. There are 2 courts in total that are being reconstructed as part of this redevelopment program. Both courts will have new LED lighting systems also. The 2 redeveloped courts will be sized as much as possible to Tennis Australia guidelines. Unfortunately, court 2 will have to be sized to best fit the available space. It is important to note that the existing tennis courts do not meet current standards particularly in regard to the quality of the surface and dimensions of their run–off zones. This redevelopment program presents Council with the opportunity to address much of these non-compliance issues.

Suitably skilled and qualified suppliers and installers are invited to provide a submission to supply all relevant materials and construct the proposed courts. Works will include the total construction of the 2 courts (on a compacted crushed rock base only), all surfaced with sand-filled synthetic grass, complete with new LED lighting, all fencing, auxiliaries and all associated infrastructure and works such as drainage and site earthworks. This document (including all specifications, drawings and all associated information) has been developed to give Tendering companies an understanding of the scope of works to enable them to supply relevant information required by the tender panel for their consideration of each tender submission.

Council wish to reconstruct the tennis courts inclusive of a sand filled artificial grass playing surface laid on a newly constructed compacted crushed rock base. Tendering submissions shall include all product details, photographs of completed projects with the same surfacing and the tender submission should be complete with all installation/construction details for the consideration of the Council.
