The Rural City of Wangaratta (Council) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to complete bank stabilisation works associated with the existing Bridges over the Hodgson Creek the following locations:
a. Bridge No. 153 on Eldorado-Tarrawingee Road, over the Hodgson’s Creek, Tarrawingee VIC 3678; and
b. Bridge No. 141 on Dicken’s Road, over the Hodgson’s Creek, Everton Upper VIC 3678
The above mentioned bridge sites had been extensively disturbed due to flooding associated with a major storm event in December 2018 and resulted in significant erosion of the banks. The event also resulted in the destruction of the retaining walls which provided support to the bridge abutments.
The objective of this project is to reinstate the abutment support and stabilise the bank to protect the bridges in the event of any future major storm events.
