Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business (the department) seeks to engage experienced providers who have capability to undertake a user-centred research and website design project (discovery, alpha and beta stages) to define and build a the minimum viable product for a ‘Tertiary Provider Tool’ using outputs from the Jobs and Education Data Infrastructure (JEDI) project.
The aim of a JEDI-powered digital Tertiary Provider Tool for tertiary education providers is to facilitate evidence-based course design and development.

This will allow providers to better align education and training courses to current labour market needs.
The JEDI engine of the project is already developed and can identify skills in demand and skills gaps by drawing on job advertisements and course offerings across the entire tertiary education system. Using natural language processing JEDI matches jobs to tertiary qualification by comparing the skills needed for a job (outlined in job ads) and the skills acquired through undertaking a course (outlined in course descriptions). The goal of the prototype tool is to use these outputs from the JEDI engine to assist higher education providers and registered training organisations to design courses that are influenced by the current and emerging industry trends.
