Tender Description
Mansfield Shire Council (Council) is seeking suitably qualified consultants for the completion of the Detailed Design for the upgrading of Malcolm Street, Mansfield and Alpine Ridge Drive, Merrijig.
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is for the appointment of a Designer, reporting to a nominated Superintendents Representative (Project Manager/Officer).
Council is undertaking the full reconstruction of a section of Malcolm Street, Mansfield between Highett Street and Chenery Street. This follows resurfacing of the traffic lanes in 2017 which did not fully address the issues at the site and of which the asphalt pavement has also begun to fail.
Council is also undertaking the full reconstruction of the complete length of Alpine Ridge Drive, Merrijig. Due to the location of the road being close to the alpine area and low quality pavement being placed during the late 1980's, the pavement and kerbs have begun to fail.
The upgrading of both of these streets have been identified by Council as priority projects to prevent further deterioration.
