This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The NDIS has the requirement for an experienced Data Architect to join our talented team, reporting to the Director, Solutions Architecture within the Office of the CIO. The central activities as the Data Architect will be to review, develop, optimize and advise on the Agency’s conceptual and logical data systems. These activities will include:
1. Preparing architect models and reports of existing and new data stores
2. Assessing provided data models for consistency with Agency standards and ‘fit for purpose’ needs of the Agency’s business areas
3. Providing advice and guidance to project teams on effective data models to achieve targeted business outcomes
4. Assessing and improving the data and canonical models use to facilitate cross functional integration within the Agency
5. Supervising system migrations involving store to store data movement
6. Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming interfaces (APIs).
7. Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
The role will work closely with the Office of the Scheme Actuary, the Enterprise Project Management Office, and the OCIO Division to achieve first class results for the Agency.
The role will be based in NDIA's office in either Canberra (Tuggeranong), Sydney (Surry Hills) or Melbourne (Collins Street) depending on the applicant. The successful applicant will likely need to undertake travel between these sites and other NDIA locations.
