Security System Access Control

⁠⁠⁠Victoria University (VU) is seeking interest from the market for an enterprise level security access control system. The Respondents must have experience in the higher education sector or similar large multi-site clients.

Respondents will be expected to meet the university’s pre-qualification criteria and be able to demonstrate experience against those criteria.

VU currently operates the Interlogix Forcefield security access management platform, with Tecom challenger panels and a proprietary card reader system in place. VU will be replacing the current access control system with a new system (the subject of this RFP) to provide increased reliability and more advanced security access technology, with a warranty and maintenance regime that presents better whole-of-life operational value for money and autonomy in controls for VU. Smooth integration with existing VU IT systems and cabling infrastructure will also be important to reduce risks in change and cost management. The new electronic access control system will need to cater to the University’s current and future needs, both forecast and unpredicted. The replacement system has to support a flexible and future-proof security system that aligns with the University’s strategic planning and targets for growth over the coming years.
