Tender Description
The City of Greater Geelong (CoGG) seek the services of a medical practitioner to provide early intervention medical services to Council’s employees who have sustained injuries requiring medical attention.
The objective of this program is to enhance our current Injury Management Processes by enabling early intervention treatment for workplace injuries.
The primary objective of the early intervention process is to ensure:
* Same day appropriate early treatment is provided following an injury
* Treatment focusses on maintaining an employee at work following an injury
* Where an employee is deemed unfit to be at work, treatment is aimed at achieving an early sustained return to work
* Work restrictions are clearly communicated to the employee and Council
* Where necessary return to work programs are formulated to assist an injured employee to remain at work or return to work
A secondary component to the service will be to provide the following services:
* Drug and alcohol testing
* Audiometric testing
* Health and wellbeing seminars
* Skin checks
* Psychological service, preventative and reactive management
