Tender Description
Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors for upgrade of Balaclava Road – New Dookie Road- Verney Road- Hawdon Street intersection, Shepparton.
Preferred sequence to reduce impact of the works on the traffic flow and businesses
Stage 1A – Balaclava Road between Verney Road and Wheeler Street
Stage 1B- Verney Road between Balaclava Road and Elm Terrace
Stage 2 – Balaclava Road and Verney Road signalised intersection
Tenderers may offer an alternative project methodology as specified in Schedule 3 – Tender Evaluation Criteria
The works include: -
* Preliminaries
* Supply and install drainage
* Excavate the road pavement and dispose off-site
* Supply and lay kerb & channel and concrete path.
* Supply, lay and compact new pavement in layers
* Supply, lay and compact spray seal / asphalt
* Supply and installation of signs and associated infrastructure.
* Supply and installation of traffic signals by pre-qualified contractor at STS1 level under the VicRoads contractor pre-qualified scheme.
* Supply and installation of line-marking, tactile indicators and bollards
* Tidy road reserve, nature strips and as built drawings
* Coordinate works with works by others within the project limits
