Healesville Sanctuary, one property operated by Zoos Victoria is seeking the services of a registered, licensed and suitably qualified building company to provide a full technical design (Concept plan completed), documentation and construction service of an extension to the existing Pavilion Cafe.
Zoos Victoria is a not for profit conservation organisation that is committed to fighting extinction through working with endangered animals and educating and motivating visitors to act in helping protect wildlife and their natural habitats. Zoos Victoria delivers these key messages and programs through three zoos: Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo.
This Expression of Interest is for the provision of full design and construct services to develop the existing Pavilion Cafe along a sustainable ethos with the addition of an extension. This extension will be fully fitted to food grade standards and house a food preparation area, cooking equipment, benching, wash area, storage and refrigeration and a server for customers to collect food.
The layout should have the versatility to be utilised as a full kitchen at peak times and at off peak times The Pavilion Cafe front section can operate as a grab and go kiosk.
The building will blend environmentally with the existing surroundings with a contemporary mix of timber cladding or similar finishes.
