Design Services Purnell Rd Child and Family Centre

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing 2pm Wednesday 3rd May 2017.

The Greater Geelong City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Design Team to undertake the provision of Design Services associated with the Purnell Rd Child and Family Centre, the successful tenderer will be the lead consultant and be responsible for the cost and management of all sub-consultants which make up the Design Team.

The Design Services Purnell Rd Child and Family Centre will be a major community asset and will include the following facilities:
* 90 minimum place child care centre (including commercial kitchen, laundry, children's rooms, optimal storage). 2 x 33 place rooms, 2 x 12 place rooms (at a minimum of 3.5m² per child) and high quality outdoor playground areas.

* 66 place kindergarten (2 x 33 place rooms at a minimum of 3.5m sq per child, and high quality outdoor playground areas at a minimum of 10m sq per child.
* 2 x Maternal Child Health consulting rooms (plus waiting room, storage areas, etc)
* 5 x flexible consulting spaces (and waiting room.
* Multi-purpose room (for playgroups, group programs, etc) including outdoor playground area and large storerooms, kitchenette and toilets.
* Staff room, staff toilets (including shower) planning room, staff room (including lockers), manager's office, reception area, archive (records room), cleaners room, utilities room, additional storage, outdoor waste facility.

* Parent lounge/drop-in area (including kitchenette)
* Toy Library.
* Internal Public toilets.
* Off street car parking and bicycle parking.

This is not an exhaustive list, but provides an indication of the main elements of the building.
Mandatory Site Inspection:

Please be advised that Council will conduct a mandatory site inspection at 11.00am Wednesday 19 April 2017. Prospective tenderers must attend this site inspection. Failure of a tenderer to attend will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender.

Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process. The Site Meeting will at Cnr Purnell Rd and Cheshire St, Corio.

Tenderers are not required to notify Council of their attendance by phoning the contact person for the tender process beforehand.
