Apollo Bay Harbour Operations Depot

⁠⁠⁠The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is inviting contractors to provide a tender submission in response to this Request for Tender for the role of Main Contractor on the Apollo Bay Harbour Operations Depot (the Project).

This project presents a significant opportunity to contribute to the ongoing revitalisation and operational enhancement of the Apollo Bay harbour precinct, supporting both economic development and sustainable coastal infrastructure outcomes. The first stage of works focuses on the extension of the Apollo Bay Harbour Fisherman’s Cooperative building to accommodate an approved commercial offering.

The subsequent stage as per this Request for Tender, involves the relocation and redevelopment of the Port Operations Depot from its current location to the Mother’s Beach carpark. This phase represents a critical upgrade to the operational infrastructure that underpins Apollo Bay Harbour Fisherman’s Cooperative building, delivering a modern, fit for purpose depot designed by Antarctica Architects tailored to the unique functional requirements of port operations in a marine and coastal setting.

Importantly, this project is being delivered with a strong commitment to the Local Jobs First initiative, creating meaningful opportunities for local contractors, suppliers, and workforce participation. This emphasis not only strengthens regional economic outcomes but also supports the development of local capability within the construction and maritime infrastructure sectors.
